Ocean Wise
Stephanie Wang is an experienced professional in environmental engineering, currently serving as the Laboratory Manager and Research Scientist at Ocean Wise since November 2017. In this role, Stephanie is involved in a collaborative project with Metro Vancouver, focusing on assessing microplastics pollution in major wastewater treatment facilities in the Greater Vancouver area through the development and testing of innovative sampling techniques. Stephanie previously worked as a Research Assistant with the Microplastic Group of the Ocean Pollution Research Program at Ocean Wise and completed an internship at Gaobeidian Wastewater Treatment Plant, where responsibilities included preparing laboratory manuals and conducting data analysis. Stephanie holds a Master of Science in Environmental Engineering from Queen's University and a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering from China Agricultural University.
