Edward Sit Woon

Edward Sit Woon has over 10 years of experience as a finance executive in the mining sector. Edward has served as the Vice President Finance and Corporate Controller at OceanaGold Corporation since September 2009. In this role, they have successfully implemented strategic changes and developments to manage financial risks and drive cost benefits. Edward is adept at engaging with stakeholders and motivating finance team members. Prior to their current role, Edward served as the Group Corporate Accounting Manager at IOOF Holdings Ltd, where they demonstrated their commitment to robust financial management and made notable achievements in various areas such as cash flow forecasting and financial auditing. Edward also gained experience as the Finance Director at Compagnie Mauricienne de Textile and as the Commercial Finance Manager at PT Visi Global. Edward Sit Woon has a Bachelor of Accounting degree in Accounting and Finance from Nanyang Technological University Singapore, which they obtained in 1996. Additionally, they hold certifications as a Chartered Accountant from Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and as a Fellow Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA).
