Scott Flynn is a Mechanical Engineer at Oceaneering since February 2024, bringing a diverse background in engineering and project management. Currently part of the QUEST Honors Program at UMD as a member of Cohort 36, Scott has experience with Engineers Without Borders USA as the Electronics Lead for the Sierra Leone Solar Subteam. Previous internships include roles as a Co-op Engineer at MPR Associates, a Student Consultant at BAE Systems, and a Project/Field Engineer Intern at The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company, where Scott focused on quality control and problem-solving in collaboration with subcontractors and architects. Scott's analytical skills were showcased during a consultancy with SWANA, targeting declining membership rates among Young Professionals, while prior experience includes designing fire protection systems at Absolute Fire Protection and serving as a Congressional Intern in Senator Richard Burr's office. Scott holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland, completed in 2023.
