Asifa Syed

Asifa Syed has a diverse work experience starting in 1990 as a Corporate Banking Officer at ABN AMRO. In this role, they were responsible for preparing and processing annual credit proposals for international corporations. From 2001 to 2003, they worked as a Senior Credit Analyst at Safra Asset Management, where they maintained a credit portfolio and prepared compliance reports. At Provident Bank in 2003, they served as a Senior Credit Analyst and was responsible for underwriting various types of commercial loans. From 2004 to 2010, they worked at CIT Bank / SBLC, first as an Assistant Underwriting Manager and then as a Vice President / National Operations Manager. Their responsibilities included managing originations, underwriting SBA loans, and supervising staff. From 2010 to 2022, they held the position of Vice President / Director of Credit Underwriting at Amboy Bank. In this role, they managed and maintained a diverse commercial real estate portfolio and spearheaded SBA PPP loans and forgiveness programs. Finally, in 2022, they joined OceanFirst Bank as Vice President / Construction Credit Officer.

Asifa Syed completed their Bachelor's degree in Marketing with a minor in Computer Science from New Jersey City University. Asifa attended the university from 1992 to 1996.
