Bernardo Ferreira de Carvalho has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Bernardo is the CEO and Founder of Oceano Fresco, a company that develops and produces bivalves varieties for shellfish farmers. Bernardo focuses on selecting value-adding traits to contribute to the sustainability and profitability of the aquaculture industry. Additionally, they have worked as an independent consultant for a large pharmaceutical group, STEMCELL Technologies, and a top-tier agribusiness player. Bernardo also served as the Interim General Manager of Myeko, where they restructured the company and expanded into new markets. Bernardo has also been an entrepreneur, launching an innovative travel agency business model and a virtual travel ecosystem. Bernardo has experience as a Manager of Planning & MIS at INTERAMERICAN and as a Project Manager in M&A / strategy at Achmea. Before that, they worked as a Management Consultant at Arthur D. Little, advising clients in the telecom and services sectors on strategy, international expansion, and investment opportunities.

Bernardo Ferreira de Carvalho completed their education with a focus on business. In 1993, they enrolled at the Universidade Católica Portuguesa, where they pursued a Licenciatura degree, equivalent to a Master of Science. Bernardo dedicated himself to their studies at the university until 1998. In 1996, Bernardo also had the opportunity to study abroad at Aarhus University, where they completed an Erasmus program specializing in business. This experience allowed him to gain a broader perspective on the subject. After some years, in 2001, Bernardo furthered their education by obtaining an MBA from INSEAD, a renowned business school.
