Bert Waanders

Bert Waanders is an experienced engineering consultant specializing in mooring and foundation systems for floating structures, particularly in the oil and renewable energy sectors. Currently serving as a Mooring and Foundation Consultant at Oceans of Energy since December 2017, Bert provides expertise in the station-keeping of floating solar pontoons. Previous roles include Barossa Turret/Mooring Engineer at Santos Ltd, Mooring and Foundation Lead Engineer at Chevron, and Senior Consultant for BP. With extensive experience in design, consultancy, and advisory services, Bert has contributed to various significant projects, including the turret moored Rosebank FPSO and the BP QUAD204 FPSO. Bert’s educational background includes studies at Delft University of Technology and the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague.
