Derek Floyd, M.A., is a seasoned professional in nonprofit leadership and grant writing, currently serving as the President & Chief Scribe at Writing for Good since January 2015, where creative and strategic grant writing services are provided to support nonprofits. Additional roles include Grant Consultant for various organizations such as the Oceanside Museum of Art, Art of Élan, Athenaeum Music & Arts Library, and Imperial Valley Food Bank, among others. Derek’s educational credentials include a Master of Arts in Nonprofit Leadership & Management from the University of San Diego, a Bachelor of Music in Oboe Performance from The Juilliard School, and a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Chapman University, complemented by a Webmaster Certificate from the San Diego Center for Education & Technology.
