Claudia Paterson

Claudia Paterson is an experienced educator currently serving as the Assistant Principal at Oceanside Unified School District since August 2021. With a background in early education, Claudia has been a workshop presenter since 2004, developing and presenting workshops for PreK to 2nd Grade teachers, including bilingual education training. During a 17-year tenure at San Jose Unified School District, Claudia held various roles, including Manager of Early Education, where significant organizational goals were established for California’s Quality Rating Improvement System. Claudia also served as a District English Learner Instructional Coach and a Literacy Coach/Title I Intervention Specialist, focusing on professional development and innovative reading interventions. Prior to this, Claudia coordinated public relations for Transform Our World, an international non-profit organization. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership and a Bilingual/Multicultural Credential from San Jose State University, along with a BA in History from UCLA.
