Donald Bendz

Donald Bendz is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience in media and public relations. Currently serving as the Director of Communications for Oceanside Unified School District since July 2021, Donald has previously held significant roles such as Assistant Regional Census Manager at the U.S. Census Bureau, where responsibilities included managing media relations for the 2020 Census. Donald's journalism career features positions like Primary Anchor at Nexstar Media Group, Inc., and Anchor/Reporter at KTNV, along with experience at KTLA and ABC News as a reporter. Donald began the reporting career at WSVN Channel 7 and Central Florida News 13, showcasing skills in creating engaging stories, live reporting, and communication strategy. Donald holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of California, Los Angeles.
