Situated in the epicenter of the new economy in San Francisco, the 2.4 million square foot, Foster + Partners designed Oceanwide Center development comprises two high-rise towers, historic buildings along with impressive new public spaces and pedestrian links through downtown. Together, the buildings provide 1.1 million square feet of office space, San Francisco's first Waldorf Astoria Hotel, and 265 Waldorf Astoria branded residences. Significant in urban and environmental terms, the development brings together places to live and work with the city’s most important new transport hub, the Transbay Terminal, further evolving a sustainable model of high density, mixed-use development. The 625-foot hotel and residential tower reflects the scale of San Francisco’s existing tall buildings and has frontage on Mission Street, while the 910-foot residential and office tower rises above it as a symbol of this new vertical city quarter – it will be the tallest residential project on the West Coast. Oceanwide Center is owned by China Oceanwide Holdings Group.
