Robert Kennedy has worked in the technology industry since 2000. From 2000 to 2009, they were a Team Leader/Squad Leader/Master Trainer in the US Army. From 2009 to 2010, they worked as a Database Administration Co-op at Procter & Gamble. From 2010 to 2014, they were a Software Engineer at Monsanto, where they worked closely with data scientists, mathematicians, and agronomists to turn yield prediction and planting optimization research models into commercial products. Robert then moved to The Climate Corporation, where they were a Staff Software Engineer from 2014 to 2018. During this time, they built a machine data processing pipeline to clean, validate, and standardize tens of millions of acres of planting and harvest data worldwide. From 2018 to 2019, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at CiBO Technologies, where they developed an ETL data pipeline for converting raw small plot field trial data into formats easily usable by CiBO Scientists. In 2019, they returned to The Climate Corporation as an Engineering Manager, where they built and maintained feature pipelines to enable several ML models used by Agronomic recommendation engines, and managed a team of 5 engineers. In 2022, they began working at Ocelot Consulting as a Senior Staff Engineer.

Robert Kennedy received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville between 2007 and 2010.
