Ansa Biotechnologies
Mehran received his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from UC Santa Barbara where he combined microfluidics and Surface-Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy for chemical sensing and single cell analysis. He then joined Owl Biomedical, a microfluidics-based cell sorting company to lead the development of their next generation consumables. As a project manager at Owl, he helped develop multiple products using microfluidic technology for additional capabilities and improved sorting performance resulting in more than 10 patents. Before Ansa, Mehran joined an early stage immunotherapy startup where he developed a high throughput droplet-based microfluidic device for TCR discovery.
