Nathan Tom

Nathan Tom is an Engineering Manager currently contributing to Ocergy's OCG-Data development, focusing on hydrodynamic design and renewable power generation for environmental monitoring. They earned a Ph.D. in Ocean Engineering from UC Berkeley in December 2013 and have extensive experience in marine energy, having worked at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory on projects like WEC-Sim code development. Their earlier roles include positions as a Project Engineer at Kinetics Mechanical Services, a Summer Mechanical Engineering Intern at NASA Ames Research Center, and various engineering roles at Marine Innovation & Technology. Nathan is a United States Subject Matter Expert to the IEC TC114 MT62600-100.
