Senior Investigator And Director Of Community-engaged Research at OCHIN

Karen Albright has a diverse work experience in research and academia. Karen is currently serving as the Senior Investigator and Director of Community-Engaged Research at OCHIN, Inc., a non-profit health care innovation center. Karen has also worked as an Associate Professor at the University of Colorado School of Medicine and as an independent contractor, providing health services research and consultation. In addition, they co-directed Lacuna Analytics and served as an Associate Professor at the University of Denver. Earlier in their career, they were an Assistant Professor at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, where they directed the Qualitative Research Core.

Karen Albright completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Sociology at the New York University Graduate School of Arts and Science in 2004. Following this, they pursued a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Postdoctoral Fellowship in the Scholars in Health Policy Research Program at the University of California, Berkeley from 2004 to 2006. Later, they became a NIMH Postdoctoral Fellow at the Semel Institute for Neuroscience & Human Behavior, David Geffen School of Medicine, University of California, Los Angeles from 2006 to 2009. In 2008, Karen completed their Master's in Social Work at the University of Denver, concluding their formal education.
