Pieter Svenson has worked in a variety of roles since 2018. From 2018-2021, they worked as a Software Developer, Engineering Tutor, Course Assistant, and Software Engineer Intern at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, Software Instructor at Einstein's Workshop, and Architectural Intern at PCA / Prellwitz Chilinski Associates. At the University of Illinois, they worked on the WHIMC research project to develop tools to facilitate an educational environment in Minecraft. At Einstein's Workshop, they taught programming, math, and physics to middle-school-age students and developed classes and server-side modifications to Minecraft. At PCA, they turned a conceptual design for a stand-alone ice cream parlor into a 3D model using Revit 2017, detailed its various relevant sections, elevations, and plan views, and submitted progress and permit sets to the client and partnered engineers. In 2022, they began their role as a Software Engineer I at Ocient.
Pieter Svenson attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 2017 to 2021 and obtained two Bachelor of Science degrees, one in Computer Engineering and one in Civil Engineering. In May 2020, they also obtained the Agile Foundations certification from LinkedIn.
