Kimberly S. Argo

Chair at Oconee County Schools

Kim Argo, a retired educator, taught 18 years in the Oconee County School District. Prior to teaching in Oconee, she taught at Madison County High School and at Oglethorpe County Middle School. During her last nine years in education, Mrs. Argo was employed as a school administrator in the Walton County Public School System. She hopes that her experience as an educator will bring the perspective of an administrator and teacher to the Oconee County Board of Education.

Mrs. Argo believes it is important for teachers to have the resources and technology needed to challenge each individual student. She feels that OCS schools should prepare graduates with the strong academic background required for a post-secondary education, and the school system must also equip its graduates with job skills needed in today's challenging and technical work environment.
