Michael Velose Cpe

Michael Velose, CPE, CCP has a diverse background in project management and construction costing. Michael has worked as a Vice President, Southeast Regional Manager, and Regional Estimating Manager at O'Connor Construction Management, Inc. In these roles, they were responsible for organizing and leading efforts for cost estimating, scheduling, and construction management for various projects. Michael also had experience as a Senior MEP Estimator and MEP Estimator, specializing in plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and site utility estimates. Prior to that, they worked as a Project Manager/Estimator at Unitek Contracting Group, Acutron Inc, specializing in private and government projects. Michael also served as a Project Manager at Tradewind Contracting, specializing in specialized projects and remodel jobs. Before that, they were a Project Manager at Montano Development Inc, overseeing property development, custom home construction, and commercial/residential remodels. Michael also has experience as a US Project Manager at Prodel Automation Inc and as a Senior Project Manager at Automation Resources Inc. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Mechanical Engineer at Maddox Metal Works and as a Production Engineer at American Yazaki-ELCOM. Michael started their career as an Engineering/Scientific Assistant at Physical Science Laboratories.

Michael Velose, CPE, CCP has a strong educational background in engineering and business management. Michael earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from New Mexico State University, where they attended from 1988 to 1993. Michael later pursued higher education at the University of Texas, where they obtained a Master's degree in Management of Technology and Industrial Engineering and Business Management. This degree was awarded to him between 1997 and 1999.

Apart from their formal education, Michael Velose has also obtained several additional certifications. Michael became a Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) through the American Society of Professional Estimators in April 2014. In the same year, they obtained the Certified Cost Professional (CCP) certification from the AACE. Additionally, they achieved the Engineer in Training certification from the Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors of the State of California in May 2014. These certifications further validate their expertise and commitment to their profession.
