David Poffinbarger, GISP, currently serves as the LIS Administrator/LIO/GIS Coordinator for Oconto County since August 2022, overseeing the Land Information Department's GIS, surveying, addressing, and property listing functions. With a long-standing association as a member of the Wisconsin Land Information Association since 1997, David previously held the position of GIS Coordinator for Shawano County from July 1999 to August 2022. David's career in GIS began as a GIS Analyst for Oneida County (1997-1999) and included roles as a GIS/Parcel Mapping Technician and GIS Technician in Marathon and Portage Counties, respectively. David's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography, with a focus on Cartography, Physical Geography, Geology, and Earth Science from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, completed in 1996, along with participation in the 2016 URISA Leadership Academy.
