Leigh McKenzie

Leigh McKenzie is an accomplished Waste Minimisation Officer at Dunedin City Council since January 2018, focusing on waste reduction initiatives. In addition to this role, Leigh serves as a Project Management Assistant for the Science Precinct project at the University of Otago with Octa Associates Ltd, and is a Masters student in Environmental Management at the same university, concentrating on local food producers' farming practices. Previous experiences include research at the Centre for Sustainability, environmental monitoring with Port Otago Ltd, GIS consulting for Ahika Consulting, and teaching assistance roles at the University of Otago in Geospatial Science. Leigh holds a Master of Science in Environmental Management and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Environmental Management and GIS from the University of Otago.
