Jonathan Thon

Jonathan Thon, Ph.D., currently serves as a Board Member at Octagon Therapeutics and a Strategic Advisor to the CEO/Founders at both mDETECT Inc and ForCell. As the Founder and CEO of STRM.BIO, Jonathan has led the development of a nonviral gene delivery platform for rare blood diseases. Additionally, Jonathan co-founded Stellular Bio, serving as its Chief Scientific Officer and CEO, where efforts include producing functional human platelets for treating hematological conditions. Formerly a Scientific Advisor at Ichosia Biotechnology, an Independent Board Member at Optiva Fertility, and a lecturer at Mass General Brigham / Harvard Medical School, Jonathan's extensive background encompasses both academic research and entrepreneurial ventures in biomedicine. Jonathan holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from The University of British Columbia and completed a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at Harvard Medical School.
