Erika Handly

Erika Handly is a Patent Technical Consultant at Klarquist Sparkman, LLP since April 2023 and has been a New Product Fellow at Octant since April 2021, focusing on researching rare disease indications for the company's technologies. Previous experiences include serving as a Chemical Engineering Research Assistant and Chemistry Research Assistant at Brigham Young University from April 2011 to June 2014, and a Bioengineering Research Assistant in the Amgen Program during Summer 2013. Erika also contributed as a Medical Research Assistant at Hokkaido University in Summer 2012, and held the role of Organist for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints from January 2005 to April 2013. Additionally, involvement with the Society of Women Engineers as Service and Outreach Chair allowed for promotion of engineering initiatives among local youth from August 2011 to April 2012. Erika holds a Doctorate in Biological Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Brigham Young University.
