Robert Warneford-Thomson

Scientist at Octant

Robert Warneford-Thomson is a scientist at Octant since February 2023, focusing on developing platforms for high-throughput, massively parallel deep mutational scanning of disease-associated genes for drug discovery applications. Previous experience includes serving as a postdoctoral researcher at the Penn Epigenetics Institute under Roberto Bonasio, Ph.D., from February 2021 to August 2022, and completing a PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine from August 2014 to February 2021. Robert also participated in the NSF East Asia-Pacific Summer Institute at Peking University in 2015 and worked as an English Teaching Fellow with Princeton in Asia, teaching over 300 students. Educational qualifications include a BS in Biology from Washington and Lee University and an International Baccalaureate from Trinity Episcopal School.
