Thomas Güttler

Thomas Güttler is currently the Head of Research & Development at Octapharma since May 2023, leading R&D operations in biotechnology. As a Co-Founder of Science Project since January 2018, Thomas aims to provide academic research labs with user-friendly and affordable websites for sharing research. Previously, Thomas served as a Staff Scientist at the Max Planck Institute for Multidisciplinary Sciences from October 2019 to April 2023, focusing on antibody discovery and structural biology, and teaching at the University of Göttingen. Thomas's experience includes a role as a Research Scientist at Boston University School of Medicine from October 2017 to September 2019 and a Charles King Trust Fellow at Harvard Medical School and Boston University from November 2010 to June 2017, emphasizing cryo-electron microscopy. Thomas holds multiple PhDs in Biochemistry and related fields, earned between 2004 and 2010 from Heidelberg University and the Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry.
