Dan Ortuno

Danny Ortuno is currently the Chief Science Officer at Octet Medical Inc. Prior to this role, Danny worked as Principal Scientist II at Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research (NIBR) in the field of Neuroscience. Before joining NIBR, Danny was a Senior Associate Scientist at Amgen where Danny was involved in developing and validating functional assays for targets related to neurodegeneration and pain. With previous experience as a Senior Research Associate at Arena Pharmaceuticals and Research Associate III at Salk Institute for Biological Studies, Danny has a strong background in managing and organizing lab operations in the field of Molecular Neurobiology. Danny's educational background includes studying at UC San Diego.
