Luis Ramirez

Luis Ramirez is the Managing Director, Marketing Practice at October Hill International. Prior to this, they served as the Country Manager for Talos Energy LLC from December 2015 to October 2017, where they were responsible for all activities in Mexico. Luis developed the “Playing Above Your Weight” strategy and managed to position Talos as a leading player in Mexico’s emerging privately-operated O&G industry.

Ramirez directed an effective government affairs program, managing key relations with local government, Agencies and Congress to assist in creating an environment that embraced foreign investment and favored Access. Luis also set up and directed local operations in-country and at Mexico City office, as well as managed permitting, and compliance with local & international law –and drilling of the Zama discovery. Luis was a co-founder and member of the first Board of Directors of AMEXHI (national trade association of the O&G industry).

Prior to their work with Talos Energy, Ramirez served as International Financial Consultant at Merrill Lynch from June 2005 to July 2007. Luis began their career as an Assistant Professor, Strategic Management at Universidad Anáhuac from August 2000 to June 2002.

Their manager is Alex Grayson, CEO, Co-Founder & Managing Director, IPO & International Expansion. They are on a team with Jinhoo Min - Managing Director, Technology Practice, Thomas Howard - Managing Director, Mergers & Acquisition Practice, and Samuel Marco - Managing Director, Risk Management Pratice.
