Alex Schoch

Alex Schoch currently serves as the VP and Group Director of Flexibility & Electrification at Octopus Energy, overseeing product development and growth in flexibility and electrification to enhance monetization across utility-scale assets and consumer propositions. Additionally, Alex is the Global Head of Flexibility at National Grid and contributes as an advisor and consultant focused on sustainable energy transitions. Previous roles include serving on the Strategy Board of The Association for Decentralised Energy and as a board member at Battri. With extensive experience in the energy sector, including a senior director role at Tesla Energy, Alex has a strong background in operations and strategy. Academic credentials include a BA from SOAS University of London, specializing in Middle East History and South Asian Economic Development.
