Alex Bem

Alex Bem currently serves as the Financial Controller at Octopus Ventures, overseeing the finance department and managing financial aspects for multiple VCTs and private funds since April 2022. Previously, Alex was the Finance Manager at Octopus Real Estate from November 2017 to April 2022, where responsibilities included managing a team of accountants and enhancing reporting processes. Prior experience includes serving as a Senior Middle Office Accountant at Man Group, a Senior Financial Accountant at AkzoNobel, and an Executive at PricewaterhouseCoopers, focusing on audits within the pharmaceutical industry. Alex holds a degree from the University of Nottingham, completed in 2004.
