Maria Saiz Garcia

Maria Saiz Garcia has a diverse work experience spanning several companies. Maria is currently working as the Vice President of Finance at Oculis. Prior to that, they held various roles at Novartis, including Chief Financial Officer for all French Novartis entities, Head of Financial Reporting EMEA & Head of Global Shared Service Center, and Regional CFO for both Emerging markets/Central Eastern Europe and Western Europe. Before joining Novartis, Maria worked at Medtronic where they served as the Director of Sales Force Effectiveness & Operations for the Spinal & ST Divisions Europe, Director of Finance for the Spinal & Surgical Technologies Western Europe, Senior Finance Manager for the Cardiac Rhythm Division Western Europe, and Finance Manager for the Emergency Response Division Western Europe. Maria began their career at KPMG, first as a Senior Auditor and later as an Audit Senior Manager.

Maria Saiz Garcia has a diverse education history. Maria earned a BA in Economics & Business Administration from the University of Deusto from 1992 to 1997. In 1997, they also completed a BA in Business & Corporate finance from Aarhus University. In 2006-2007, they pursued a post-graduate certificate in Building Leadership Capabilities from Glasgow Caledonian University. Maria further enhanced their leadership skills by attending the Executive Leadership Program at Harvard Business School in 2012 and again in 2017. In 2014, they participated in the Executive Leadership Education program at The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth. Recently, in 2022, they completed a Mastering Corporate Governance program at IMD.
