Jianping Zhang

Jianping (John) Zhang has a work experience spanning over several years. Jianping (John) started their career in 2007 as a Senior Engineer at Hatch, where they worked until 2009. Following this, they joined AECOM as a Senior Water & Wastewater Process Engineer from 2009 to 2011. Jianping (John) then returned to Hatch in 2011 as a Specialist and Project Manager, where they stayed until 2017. In 2017, they joined Ontario Clean Water Agency as a Senior Program Manager, specializing in Water/Wastewater Process Optimization. Jianping (John) later worked as the Acting Director of Process Optimization and Technical Services from 2020 until 2021. Currently, they serve as the Director of Operational Support Services for the South Peel region at Ontario Clean Water Agency.

Jianping (John) Zhang holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Civil & Environmental Engineering from the University of Waterloo.
