Jakob Korsgaard

Jakob Korsgaard currently serves as Chief Operating Officer at Odfjell Drilling since February 2023. Prior to this role, Korsgaard was the VP and Head of Norwegian Operations at Maersk Drilling, overseeing the operational responsibilities of the fleet on the Norwegian Continental Shelf from October 2019 to February 2023. From January 2010 to October 2019, Korsgaard held the position of Managing Director at Maersk Drilling Norge AS, managing operations of multiple jack-up rigs and significant onshore and offshore staff, while also serving as Chairman of the Offshore Entrepreneurs Group and a board member of the Norwegian Shipowners’ Association. Other notable positions include Area Manager at Maersk Drilling (UAE) FZE, Contracts & Commercial Manager at Maersk Contractors Norge AS, and Marketing Manager at The Maersk Company Ltd. Korsgaard began a career in the industry with the Egyptian Drilling Company as a Procurement & Logistics Coordinator. Educational qualifications include attendance at the A.P. Moller Shipping School and nordsjællands grundskole og gymnasium.
