Nicolas Sarmiento Santos has a diverse range of work experience in various legal roles. Nicolas started their career as an intern at the Consulate General of Colombia in Sao Paulo, Brazil in 2012. After that, they worked as a Junior Associate at Santiago Jaramillo Villamizar & Asociados from 2013 to 2015. In 2015, they joined Odinsa as a Legal Coordinator for Corporate Affairs, and later became the Legal Leader for Airport Projects from 2018 to 2021. Nicolas also served as the Legal Director for a subsidiary company of Odinsa, Confase S.A., from 2017 to 2021. Nicolas then worked as a Visiting Foreign Law Clerk at Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP from 2022 to 2023. Currently, they are the Legal Director for Road Asset Investments at Odinsa, starting in 2023.
Nicolas Sarmiento Santos holds a Master of Laws (LLM) degree from Duke University School of Law, which they obtained during the academic year 2021-2022. Before that, they pursued a Master of Law (LLM) degree in Public Law at Universidad de Los Andes from 2014 to 2016. Their undergraduate studies were completed at Universidad del Rosario, where they obtained an LLB degree from 2008 to 2013. Additionally, they participated in a law exchange program at FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas in 2012.
