Erika Frydenlund

Erika Frydenlund is a seasoned academic and researcher with extensive experience in modeling and simulation, currently serving as a Research Associate Professor at the ODU Virginia Modeling, Analysis, & Simulation Center (VMASC) since September 2013. With a focus on social justice issues, particularly migration and mobility, Erika has held various roles including Senior Project Scientist, where transportation and pedestrian dynamics were researched to support municipal decision-making. Previous positions include Senior Socio-Cultural Research Analyst at IDS International, Research and Program Analyst at Northrop Grumman Corporation, and adjunct teaching roles at DeVry University and Tidewater Community College. Educational qualifications include a PhD in International Studies from Old Dominion University and advanced training in Computational Social Science from the Santa Fe Institute, among other credentials in statistics and women's studies.

We provide modeling and simulation, analytic research, and technological support for partners across various industry, government, and community sectors; including, healthcare, cybersecurity, strategic defense, transportation and infrastructure, usability, and instructional design.
