Mark Beard

Mark Beard is a Technical Support Professional currently working at the ODU Virginia Modeling, Analysis, & Simulation Center (VMASC) and the Hampton Roads Biomedical Research Consortium since September 2023. Mark also serves as a Web Developer & IT Specialist at Nova Constructs, where responsibilities include remote and local IT support, web hosting, and website security. Previous experience includes roles as a Technology Support Technician for Virginia Beach City Public Schools, IT Operations Specialist at Preston Valentino B.V., and various positions at the YMCA of South Hampton Roads, including Leaders Club Advisor and Program Director. Mark's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Cybersecurity from Old Dominion University, expected to be completed in December 2025, along with studies at Thomas Nelson Community College and Hampton High School.
