Varnay Turner

Varnay Turner has extensive experience in education, currently serving as a Substitute Teacher at Odyssey Academy since November 2019. Previously, Varnay worked for the Special School District from October 2013 to November 2019 as a Teaching Assistant, Researcher, and Ethnographer, focusing on students with communicative disorders and developmental disabilities. Prior roles include AEL/GED/ESL Instructor at Ritenour Adult Learning Center from August 2012 to August 2014 and as a Teacher for the Gyeonggi English Program in South Korea from November 2009 to November 2010. Varnay’s early career spans from May 1991 to February 2009, encompassing roles as an ESL Instructor and a music teacher/band director across various educational institutions in South Korea and the United States. Varnay holds a Master's degree in Teacher Education from Marygrove College and a Master of Education in Secondary Education with a focus on TESOL from the University of Missouri-Saint Louis.
