Jessica Shafer, MS, AMFT has had a diverse range of work experience. Jessica is currently serving as the Regional Director of Clinical Partnerships at Odyssey Behavioral Healthcare, where they began in February 2023. Prior to this, Jessica worked as a Family Therapist/Clinical Coordinator at Magnolia Creek Treatment Center for Eating Disorders from October 2018 to March 2023. Jessica also has experience as a Substance Abuse Counselor at New Season, a CREW Counselor at Employment Connection, and an Assistant Clinic Coordinator/Medical Family Therapy Intern at Saint Louis University. Jessica has worked as a Marriage and Family Therapy Intern at St. Vincent's Health System and The University of Alabama. Additionally, they have held various roles, including Waitress at Southern Ale House, Human Development and Family Studies Intern at The University of Alabama's Women and Gender Resource Center, and Sales Associate at Ellie Crimson.
Jessica Shafer, MS, AMFT began their education at Southern Union State Community College from 2011 to 2013. Afterward, they attended The University of Alabama from 2013 to 2015, where they obtained a degree in Human Environmental Science with a focus on Human Development, Family Studies, and Related Services. From 2015 to 2017, they continued their studies at The University of Alabama and completed a degree in Marriage and Family Therapy/Counseling within the field of study of Human Environmental Science. Jessica then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Medical Family Therapy at Saint Louis University from 2017 to 2018.
