Emily McAteer

Emily McAteer has a diverse range of work experience in the energy and sustainability sector. From 2007 to 2010, they worked as a Product Manager at RiskMetrics Group, where they played a key role in designing and developing a new climate change risk rating product. In 2011, Emily served as a U.S. Fulbright Scholar, focusing on solar rural electrification. As a Summer Consultant at The Boston Consulting Group in 2012, they gained valuable consulting experience. Later that year, they joined EnerNOC and managed business development and operations for their Advanced Demand Response team. In 2014, Emily worked as a Fellow in Energy Strategy at Yahoo. Following this, they served as Chief Revenue Officer for Frontier Power at SunEdison in 2015. Emily then became an Entrepreneur in Residence at Factor[e] Ventures in 2016. In 2017, Emily founded Odyssey Energy Solutions, an investment and asset management platform for distributed energy project development. In 2018, they joined the Alliance for Rural Electrification as a Board Member, a position they held until 2021.

Emily McAteer completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Environmental Studies at Brown University from 2003 to 2007. Emily then pursued their Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree with a focus on Energy Policy at Harvard Kennedy School from 2011 to 2015. Additionally, they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Stanford University Graduate School of Business from 2013 to 2015.
