Technical Lead For Commercial Rover Flight Software And Simulation Development at Odyssey Space Research

Denise Brown's work experience began in 2005 as a Graduate Intern at the Air Force Research Laboratory. From 2007 to 2019, they held various specialist engineer roles at Odyssey Space Research, including being the Principle Investigator for a NASA Phase I SBIR project and leading the Orion GNC FDIR verification effort. In 2015, they became the IV&V Team Lead at Odyssey, where they managed the independent verification and validation of safety critical flight software for a commercial crew vehicle. Since July 2019, Denise has been the Research and Development Lead at Odyssey, where they coordinate and directs new technology research projects, identifies research opportunities, and develops R&D plans.

Denise Brown has a strong education history in engineering. Denise completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Agricultural Engineering at Texas A&M University from 1995 to 1999. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Agricultural and Biological Engineering at the same institution from 1999 to 2002. Denise furthered their education by obtaining a Master of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from Penn State University between 2003 and 2007.
