Elaine Pinheiro

Elaine Pinheiro's work experience includes positions at various institutions. Elaine currently holds the role of VP, Oncology at Odyssey Therapeutics starting in September 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Merck, where they served as Director/Senior Principal Scientist, Discovery Oncology from January 2019 to September 2021. Elaine also held the positions of Principal Scientist and Associate Principal Scientist in the same field. Before joining Merck, Elaine worked as a Group Leader for Target Discovery - Oncology at Belfer Institute for Applied Cancer Science and as a Research Scientist at Belfer Institute for Applied Cancer Science, Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Harvard Medical School. Elaine also worked as a Postdoctoral Associate at MIT and as a Graduate Student at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.

Elaine Pinheiro has a strong education history. Elaine earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Carnegie Mellon University in 1998. Following that, they pursued a Ph.D. in Biology from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, which they completed in 2004. Afterward, they continued their academic journey at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology as a Postdoctoral Associate from 2004 to 2010.
