Sigrid Eeckhout

Sigrid Eeckhout is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in communications and stakeholder engagement within the nuclear energy sector. Currently serving as Co-Chair and Bureau Member of the OECD/NEA Forum on Stakeholder Confidence since September 2016, Sigrid also holds the position of Head of Communications and Participation at ONDRAF/NIRAS, the Belgian Agency for Radioactive Waste and Enriched Fissile Materials, since November 2010. Sigrid's expertise is evidenced by prior roles, including Communications Manager at ONDRAF/NIRAS and EIG EURIDICE, and as a Beamline Scientist at ESRF. Educationally, Sigrid has a Ph.D. in Physical Mineralogy from Ghent University and completed a postgraduate program in Science Communication at Birkbeck, University of London.
