Chiara Varazzani PhD is a Lead Behavioural Scientist at the OECD - OCDE since October 2020. Chiara is also a Member of the Technical Advisory Group on Behavioural Insights and Sciences for Health at the World Health Organization since July 2020. In addition, they have worked as an Adjunct Research Fellow at Monash University from July 2020 to May 2023. Prior to that, Chiara was a Founding Columnist at Behavioral Scientist, where they wrote thought-provoking reports on behavioral science from 2017 to 2023. Chiara has also held roles at the Department of Premier and Cabinet (Vic) as a Principal Advisor, Behavioural Insights Unit from February 2019 to October 2020 and at the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet as a Senior Executive Adviser a/g and Executive Adviser in Behavioural Economics from September 2017 to February 2019. Furthermore, Chiara has worked as an Associate Behavioural Science Consultant at INFLUENCE AT WORK (UK) in 2016, an Associate Advisor and Research Fellow at The Behavioural Insights Team from July 2015 to May 2016, and a PhD Researcher at the Paris Brain Institute from September 2012 to August 2015. Chiara has also served as a Teaching Assistant for the M.Sc. Economics and Psychology program at Université Paris-Sorbonne from January 2015 to June 2015.
Chiara Varazzani, PhD, earned their doctoral degree in Behavioural Neuroscience from Sorbonne Université. Chiara also holds a master's degree in Cognitive Sciences from Ecole normale supérieure and a Master's degree in Cognitive Sciences, specifically a 'CogMaster', from EHESS - Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales.
