Javier Lopez Gonzalez

Javier Lopez Gonzalez is a highly experienced trade policy analyst currently serving as the Head of the Digital Trade Unit and a Senior Trade Policy Analyst at OECD, specializing in digital trade, SMEs, and global value chains since January 2014. Prior to this role, Javier held various positions at the University of Sussex from September 2006 to January 2014, including Visiting Research Fellow and Research Associate, focusing on the impact of trade policy on developing nations and global value chains. Javier's earlier career includes leadership as Executive Director at Iteas Consulting, and junior expert roles at the European Commission and BERR, where Javier contributed to research on economic integration and the effects of trade agreements. Javier holds a DPhil/PhD in Economics from the University of Sussex, along with a Master's degree in European Economic Integration from the same institution.
