Valerie Marcel is an accomplished executive and researcher in the fields of sustainable energy and natural resource governance. As Executive Director and Co-founder of New Producers for Sustainable Energy since April 2012, Valerie Marcel has been instrumental in facilitating a peer-to-peer network of emerging oil and gas producer countries focused on minimizing greenhouse gas emissions. In addition to this role, Valerie Marcel serves as a Senior Research Advisor at the Oxford Technology & Management Centre for Development and is actively involved with several organizations, including the OECD as a member of advisory groups focused on gas transition and low-carbon strategies. Valerie Marcel's extensive experience includes positions at SOAS University of London, the Natural Resource Governance Institute, and Chatham House, where research activities on energy have been a significant focus. Educational credentials include a PhD from Sciences Po and a Master's from McGill University, complemented by a Bachelor's from Université de Montréal.
