Aleksandra (Ola) Noras

Associate Scientist at Oerth Bio

Aleksandra (Ola) Noras has a diverse work experience in the field of scientific research. In 2016, they worked as a Lab Assistant at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Aleksandra (Ola) then joined the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as an ORISE Fellow, where they developed and validated methods for analyzing abrin and ricin exposure. This experience resulted in a publication in the Journal of Analytical Toxicology. In 2017, Noras became a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where they mentored high school students and collaborated with researchers at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Aleksandra (Ola) also worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the same university, developing novel methods for monitoring translation levels in plants. From 2020 to 2021, Noras served as a Research Associate at GreenLight Biosciences, Inc., where they performed assays, conducted statistical analysis, and contributed to decision-making processes. In 2021, they joined The Fulbright Program as a Student Researcher, and in 2022, they became a Research Associate at 5Metis Inc. Currently, Noras is an Associate Scientist at Oerth Bio.

Aleksandra (Ola) Noras completed their Master of Science (MS) in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, from 2017 to 2020. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biochemistry from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, also from 2013 to 2017. During their bachelor's degree, they focused on the field of Chemistry/Biochemistry. Ola also had the opportunity to participate in a Study Abroad program at the University of Bristol, where they studied Biochemistry. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in Decision Making with Data, Exploratory Data Analysis, Quality Methods, and Statistical Thinking and Problem Solving from SAS, with the most recent certification completed in January 2022.
