Jose Martos

Jose Martos has a diverse work experience in the legal field. Jose started their career in 1990 as an Associate Senior at Estudio Legal Abogados and worked there until 1998. Jose then joined Landwell & Associés as an Associate Senior in 1999 and worked there until 2000. In 2001, they joined EY as a Senior Associate and worked there until 2005. From 2006 to 2007, they worked as an Assistant Regional Counsel Iberia at Diageo. Jose then joined Amper, S.A. as the Secretary General and Director of Legal Advisory from 2007 to 2012. In 2012, they worked as a self-employed Partner. Jose also worked as a Partner in the legal department of Martos, Martín & Torres, a law firm specializing in providing legal advice to wine-producing wineries with a designation of origin. Since 2013, they have been working at Grupo Oesía as the Corporate Director of Legal Advising and Compliance, where they are a member of the Executive Committee and holds other executive positions. Furthermore, they worked as a Lawyer at Interforo Abogados Madrid from 2013 to 2015. Overall, Jose Martos has extensive experience in legal advisory, compliance, and corporate governance.

Jose Martos' education history begins in 1970 when they attended Colegio Estudio until 1983, where they completed their COU degree. In 1983, they attended Universidad CEU San Pablo and earned a Licenciado en Derecho degree with no specified field of study. In 1988, they pursued a Master en Asesoría Jurídica at IE Business School with a focus on Derecho Empresarial. In 1991 to 1993, they obtained a Diploma en Derecho Tributario from the Centro de Estudios Tributarios y Económicos (CETE). In 1994 to 1997, they pursued Cursos de Doctorado in Derecho Romano at Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia - U.N.E.D. In 2003, they completed a Program of Instruction for Lawyers (PIL) at Harvard University in the field of Derecho, and also obtained a Certificate in U.S. Law and Methodologies from New York University. In 2008, they pursued a Programa Avanzado "Guía Práctica para el Asesor Jurídico de la Sociedad Cotizada" at IE Business School focusing on Derecho del Mercado de Valores. In 2009, they attended IE Business School and completed a Seminario "Drafting and Interpreting International Contracts" in Derecho Internacional. Finally, in 2012, they took a course entitled "Rules, rights and Justice: an introduction to Law" at The Open University, with a focus on Derecho.
