Walter Oblin

Walter Oblin has been Chief Financial Officer of Austrian Post since 1 July 2012. He is an executive with extensive international experience in the postal and logistics industries who joined Austrian Post in 2009 as the director of the Strategy and Corporate Development Division. His expertise helped take the corporate strategy to the next level and allowed it to be implemented consistently. As the Chief Financial Officer, he is responsible for the following areas: financial reporting, corporate controlling, finance/ Letter Mail Division, Advertising Mail & Branches as well as Parcel & Logistics, treasury, corporate real estate, central purchasing, IT and legal as well as regulatory management. The common denominator of these areas is that they are critical to the company’s development and service orientation. Additionally, Walter Oblin will serve as head of the Letter Mail and Direct Mail Division and the related Group companies alongside his previous responsibilities.
