Iqbal Marikkar has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. Iqbal began their career at the Financial Times in 1997, where they held various finance roles until 2000. In 2001, they joined Austar as an Analyst in Strategy & Corporate Finance and later transitioned to a Business Consultant for Internet Products. Iqbal then joined BBC Worldwide in 2006 as a Business Analyst and subsequently became a Business Development Manager in 2008. Marikkar later moved to Ofcom in 2012, where they held roles such as Strategy Manager, Head of Chief Executive's Office, and currently serves as the Director of Corporate Strategy.
Iqbal Marikkar completed their ACMA degree from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants between 1997 and 2000. Iqbal also obtained a Bachelor of Accountancy degree from the University of Dundee. No specific start or end years are provided for their time at the University of Dundee.
