Off Duty Management
Mike Whan has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Mike most recently worked as a Liaison at Off Duty Management since 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Executive Director at Hot August Nights from 2015 to 2020, where they contributed to generating a significant economic impact and increasing tourism in Northern Nevada. Before that, they were the Northwest Security Manager at Charter Communications from 2013 to 2015, overseeing security operations in multiple states. Mike also had a long tenure at the Reno Police Department, where they held various positions such as Retired/Consultant, Deputy Chief of Police, Lieutenant, and Officer/Detective/Sergeant.
Mike Whan attended the University of Nevada Reno, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice. In 2004, they also completed a program in Leadership at the Senior Management Institute for Police. In 2011, they furthered their studies in Law Enforcement Management, completing programs at both the FBI National Academy and the University of Virginia. Prior to their post-secondary education, Mike Whan attended Truckee High School.

The company's software helps law enforcement agencies to manage inbound service request, scheduling, time and attendance, general liability, worker's compensation, payroll and invoicing, enabling them to focuson law enforcement and upholding the rule of law, eliminate the internal cost associated with off duty work and minimize liability exposure.
