Melissa Roth began their professional career in 2016 as Co-Founder and Lead Researcher at Off Planet Research, where they produced high quality simulants that emulate the regolith and ices on the Moon and other worlds. Melissa also designed, adapted, and tested components and processes for inclusion in future lunar and off world missions, as well as providing consulting services for those designing for or operating in regolith or regolith simulants. In the same year, Roth became an Integration Engineering Intern at Aviation Technical Services, where they searched databases for previous airline documentation, completed visual inspections of aircraft, issued engineering orders for repairs, and updated drawings and spreadsheets after integration was completed. Melissa also modeled parts in SOLIDWORKS and AutoCAD.
Melissa Roth attended Saint Martin's University from 2013 to 2017, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
