Adam Humes began their career in 2008 as an Associate Attorney at Lane & Waterman. In November of the same year, they joined the Iowa Attorney General's Office as an Assistant Attorney General, where they worked until April 2016. Adam then transitioned to the Iowa Department of Revenue, serving as Deputy Director from April 2016 to January 2019, and briefly as Acting Director from January to February 2019. Most recently, in February 2019, Humes joined the Office of the Attorney General of Iowa as the Revenue Division Director.
Adam Humes completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in History at the University of Northern Iowa from 1999 to 2003. Following this, they pursued their J.D. in Law from the University of Iowa College of Law from 2004 to 2007.
