Sean Slamon has a diverse work experience in the field of fire management. Sean started their career in 1989 as a Division Chief at Modesto Fire and held this role until 2014. In 2014, they served as an Interim Fire Chief at both Modesto Fire Department and Modesto Regional Fire Authority. Sean then became the Fire Chief at the City of Modesto from 2014 to 2017. During this time, in 2013, they also served as an Interim Director of the Fire Science Program at Modesto Junior College. Additionally, they held various roles in the California Fire Chiefs Association, including Past President and Area Director. In 2017, they became the Fire Chief of Carson City, Nevada.
Sean Slamon earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Vocational Studies from California State University, Long Beach from 2005 to 2007. Additionally, Sean attended Modesto Junior College, where they pursued an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Fire Science/Fire-fighting, although the start and end years for this program were not specified.
